Brief description of the Module
In order to implement a green shared areas (GSA) project it is important to involve the community which would benefit from it the most. At the same time, it will also ensure that their voice is being heard. You should have negotiation skills and know how to communicate with them in order to convince to support and implement you GSA idea. In this module, the learner will be able to learn how to meet the needs of a community, the factors that need taken into account. These include outlining the framework of engaging a community: mapping out the stakeholders, motivation and negotiation techniques.
Competence statement
Adult trainers, educators and other stakeholders will learn about the main principles of negotiation and communication techniques to properly engage people inside the initiative group and external stakeholders into the creation of GSA.
In this chapter, we will also share how to motivate and keep motivation of the parties involved.
Furthermore, we will discuss the impact of communication on the whole project idea, how to ensure good communication and, most importantly, strategies of communicating your idea to external stakeholders to make your idea/ project implemented.
